Ardugula

Central Australian story-work, South of the Simpson Desert.
Ardugula was founded in 2014, initially to rebuild and strengthen culture for people of Lower Southern Aranda/Wangkagnuru descent from the Macumba region, who are spread across Central, South and South-Eastern Australia, essentially creating a diaspora.
Ardugula wants to create the opportunity for more visits back on to country for people of the diaspora; reconnecting people with culture, language and country and making films and media grounded in our knowledge and history.
Project 3929
The bean chair Summer 2011
Project 3929 is a personal food-raising/place project that began in 2009, as an off-shoot of testing some claims about food production made in the Permaculture literature. After participating in a local food group garden tour in 2010 the author and “gardener” began to reconsider the associations between food, identity, sense of security, and the apparent “economic lock-in” to demands of contemporary “global culture”.
